How To Start a Business with Little or No Money

Lack of money and resources are one of the major excuses most people present for not starting the business that they’ve always dream of. Majority blame their banks for not granting them loans while others blame their friends for their failure to lend them money. But the fact remains that you can actually start the business of your choice without necessarily being loaded with bucks. I am writing this article to challenge that fallacy that it is compulsory to have money before you can start a business. These steps below require little or no money to implement in order to start the business of your choice.

Start with what you have

That you don’t have money does not mean that you don’t have anything. Norman Vincent Peale once said that; ‘’you can compensate for almost any lack with dynamic enthusiasm’’. You can definitely replace the absence of money with what you already have. Well, you may be wondering what you already possess but the fact is that many people have what will earn then money but they are looking for the money itself. You have passions, talents, skills-they are enough, use them!

Someone once said that when you ask God for money, he gives you ideas instead. Well, I tend to agree with that because gone are those days when manner fell from heaven. That fact is that you can actually replace your lack of money with ideas, passion, hard work and creativity.

Start with a creative idea and a plan

You may not necessarily have a big business idea before you take action, what even determines the size of you idea is in it’s implementation. And you may not also necessarily wait for ideas to just pop into you head before you start. You can engage in effective individual brainstorming and come up with diverse needs that need to be met. There is numerous business opportunities you can take advantage of, it could be a service or product that of course must be in the position to solve a problem. Once you already have a business idea that you think will be lucrative and profitable, the next step is to plan and strategize.

As an entrepreneur, you should avoid the mistake of starting your business without a business plan. Your business plan should be full detailed, it should even include whether you should launch you business venture whilst still employed. Be very analytical or you can even seek the help of a business consultant to put you through.

 Build the required skills

Find opportunities to sharpen the entrepreneurial skills that are required in the area you tend operating in. As an intending successful entrepreneur, it’s important that you acquire all the necessary skills that you need. But you should not obviously wait till you become a bundle of skills before you launch your business. You can be improving gradually while the business is in motion, that’s the reason it’s advisable to start small so that when you make mistakes, they won’t be too expensive to correct.

You can take advantage of free seminars, books, audios and videos that may probably be related to selling skills, accounting skills or any business skill that you want to acquire. There are also institutions or companies that you can make deals with to train you in exchange for services rendered.

Start with someone

Since the banks are reluctant to lend to start-ups, and families and friends seems not to be responding, you can partner up with someone or an already existing company on the same business niche with you. Combine the resources available and complement each other. I know that it may be difficult to get people thinking in the same direction with you but it is not impossible.

Conclusion
There are various tips on how to start a business without cash but these are the select few that I believe that will produce greater results. Stop procrastinating, waiting for someone to lend you money before you kick-off. Implement all these steps now and launch the business that you’ve always dreamt of and you’ll be happy that you did. I want you to bear in mind that many great companies today actually started with little or no capital.

  3. Personal guarantee in loans can create a huge impact not only to assets but also to one's family. The possibility of losing their home is not a good thing to consider.
