How to save time by multitasking

You can do many things at a time. Often times, it seems as if doing one thing at a time is not enough anymore and the need to do more arises. But if you’re not careful you may end up making lots of errors and achieving nothing. You need and attention to multitask and save your time.

Set your goals

“If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you. If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you. Whatever good thing we build, end up building us.”
It is very important to know exactly what you want to achieve by the time you’re doing. Once you’ve registered that in your mind or written it down, then you can now work with a result-oriented mindset.

Work on one thing at a time but alternative

It’s been discovered that working on different tasks or projects is very productive. This is so because one you are working on one, an idea about the other may just pop into your head and you can quickly alternate. This however requires a good dose of attention.

Eliminate unnecessary tasks

You may not necessarily subject yourself to numerous strength-draining tasks for the purpose of improving your efficiency. You can go for a mixture of a mild and a tedious task like listening to an audio while cleaning or any other task.

Choose incorruptible tasks

Multitasking can only be effective and done efficiently if you are working on a project that you can easily pause and return back to later.

Take advantage of your wait time

That particular time you anticipate waiting for someone or something should not be a wasted time. Depending on what you are waiting for and the possible duration, you can be doing other portable tasks.
Compatibility of the tasks is the key to effective multitasking. It is very important to notice what works and what does not. If writing and watching a TV program will distract you, then do not even think of pairing the both of them.

When it involves tasks that have safety consequences, then your full concentration is required. Ensure that each task that you have chosen to work on is done to your satisfaction or the whole idea is defeated.
